Today, we did spelling practice, individual reading, SPAG workbooks, Spanish tuition, Gus on the Go and HelloChinese language apps, and a simple pinyin worksheet I created recently. Praise (of the children) from the Spanish teacher was gladly received. The Grammar element of the English workbooks is not well liked, although the Spelling and Punctuation seem to be tolerable. They cheerfully completed the Chinese pinyin exercise. (The reading was slightly off, but they enjoyed checking it with the Gus app afterwards.)
Later on, elder child was busily working on the HelloChinese app in her own time. Voluntarily studying Mandarin – a very difficult language – without being prompted. (It’s all thanks to the initial spark from Gus on the Go.) Happiness comes in many flavours but this is definitely one version!
