We finally dived into our planned Stone Age topic, today, after attending a sports meet this morning. Group meets are fun but we need really engaging activities to reignite study interest afterwards.
We started with the K&W of a Stone Age KWL chart. Then we watched an Introduction to the Stone Age presentation, and discussed the various points raised. The kids were very responsive, and I was very pleased with their effort.
We followed up with a simple Stone Age comprehension worksheet. Then we finished with a super fun Stone Age cone people activity – each child decorated their cone person with crayons, and then we cut and assembled the cones.
